It’s November and winter’s coming to Ukraine. Malcolm Nance, the author for the anti-Trumpism resistance is back stateside again. This is the conversation he had on the Stephanie Miller Show while the midterm election weighs on the future of the Ukrainian arms supply and the defense of democracy at home. What he called the West front in the war for democracy. The discussion went like this.
Stephanie Miller:
Welcome home, sir. A grateful nation thanks you.
Malcolm Nance:
Man am I happy to be back.
Stephanie Miller:
We are so relieved you’re home and safe and you must be happy. I know you said, I’m officially back in the USA. Good job -ish saving democracy. But I’m telling you I still think we can hold the House and the Senate.
I know the House is tougher, but Steve Kornacki is still calling five races in California which could help us hold the House. So I think the Senate certainly is looking like we are going to hold it.
Malcolm Nance:
Yeah, great, and you know, when that happens, we’re going to find that a disaster for Joe Biden. To continue to have solid government which could change the laws for the better of America. You know, I literally stepped off a flight from Paris yesterday, which is how I got back.
I stepped off the flight and the first thing that greets you is that, one. The election is not over. This thing isn’t over by a longshot. There are so many races to be called. I don’t know if in the last hour they called Lauren Boebart’s loss by 67 votes.
Stephanie Miller:
Looks to me that, with Sarah Palin, the GOP will have to less mean girls in the cast.
Yeah, but I hear they are getting some real crazies. However, good job at defending democracy everybody. It’s more than I thought that we can actually do and if we hold the House, it is a victory celebration. We should all have a “Defending Democracy Day.” We should all pop the champagne for the House and the Senate.
Then we can take on these people.
Because unfortunately as you know, I’m very good at predicting just how the right wing extremists behave. What’s going to happen is. They’re going to have a few days of introspection, and then there’s going to be a week of propaganda saying the entire thing was stolen. Then at some point, someone is going to get violent, and it’s going to go to guns in some way, shape or form. I don’t mean by tearing down of election posters.
This has been their cycle that happened right after January 6. We thought shame and opprobrium would stop these people, no. It made them angrier and more hateful. Now that Trump has been responsible, almost single handedly responsible for these losses. They’re gonna quintuple down on Trump in violence and rhetoric. So get ready for this. I mean, the defense of democracy is really just starting.
Stephanie Miller:
The Civil War, Malcolm, is in the Republican Party right now. I don’t know if you’ve seen the cover of The New York Post, or Wall Street Journal, but they are savaging Donald Trump. They’re all fighting with each other. Some are coronating Ron DeSantis, and others are still trying to defend Trump. I mean, they are just a hot mess.
Malcolm Nance:
Yeah, but you know, none of that is meaningful at all to us, who are in team normal, or common sense and sanity. To those people this is not an internal debate. Because there is no debate. Donald Trump represents the Republican streak. The mean people, the indecent people. The people who believe the words deplorable and racist and Nazi, and anti-Semite, are now badges of honor. That’s what we have to deal with. That’s what we have to contend with.
This will end very quickly. Donald Trump will be, if he’s not indicted and ineligible to run. Donald Trump will be the nominee for the next president for the Republican Party. Like there’s no Ron DeSantis. He’s going to have DeSantis kiss his ring, or Trump may bring him on as the vice presidential candidate. The Republicans have no intention of changing away from this cult. This is literally a rise of Hitler. This is how he did things.
The only thing that’s missing now is an abdication of power, and for him to get in there with his foot soldiers. I said this in 2020. I predicted all of this on Bill Maher’s show. We are now going into the next phase of insurgency, which is a series of insurrections. There will be people who will suddenly say only the Republicans that were elected are legitimate and everyone else was a cheat. Who knows what level of terrorist it will move to.
Stephanie Miller:
Yeah. Well, I have to say though, the January 6, the hearings. A lot of people are saying it did have an impact. People in the polling voted on saving democracy and of course, on Roe v Wade being overturned. So all the things the pundits told us they don’t care about, Americans did care about. You know, I think a lot of your warnings helped with that, about how democracy was on the ballot.
Malcolm Nance:
I think that, if anything, I may have just kicked off the idea in people’s minds. Because there were several of us, pre election that were screaming this for some time. Now is the time for us to really take action and I’m going to be working on a series of democracy building activities. I’m not here just to come back to talk on the radio.

Joe Biden should have been giving that speech about the dividends of democracy weekly and rallies all around the country.

Malcolm Nance:
My motto will be, one shirt and knows how to brush his teeth.
Stephanie Miller:
So Malcolm, you’re just back from Ukraine. Obviously, that was on the ballot as well with Marjorie Taylor Greene and others who say we will cut off aid to Ukraine if Republicans take over. That’s not going to happen now. You know, the President yesterday, said I think it’s interesting. That Russia waited until after the election to withdraw. What is your take on what is happening there? Obviously 100,000 Russian troops have been killed or injured according to the US yesterday. General Mark Milley said it. is There, is a potential stalemate that could maybe be an opportunity to negotiate peace. What is your take on where we’re at with Ukraine?
Malcolm Nance:
I don’t think General Milley said that it was the opportunity to negotiate. First off, I’m going to say this. As a member of the Ukrainian International Legion, as senior personnel in the Special Operations Battalion, there’s no negotiating here. There won’t be any negotiating.
Stephanie Miller:
The Ukrainian Prime Minister, I love the way she said it. Here’s how it ends. Russia gets out. Get out. Yeah, that’s how the sense right? Oh, he’s frozen. Oh, no.
Malcolm Nance:
Here’s what we’re going to negotiate on, and I put a tweet out about this last week. We will negotiate your complete and unconditional surrender of your forces on every inch of the territory of Ukraine. Then we will negotiate with you and the Red Cross on how to disarm you, how to facilitate you and give you some clean clothes, warm meals and a shower. Then how do you repatriate your soldiers back home. That’s all we will negotiate, the unconditional surrender of your forces.
Hey, I have lost people now. I have been where we have people being wounded. The team that I just trained. We took 75% casualties in the last month. That’s just wounds you know, no one was killed, thank God, but we’re putting our blood sweat and tears on the line out there. It’s not to have a discussion with Russia.
We want the land. We want to liberate these villages back. So we’re gonna take it and there will not be any talking about that and I’m going on with my little tour of the scene, to the points of power in Washington. the Senate and the House, and the White House. I will be in the Secretary of Defense’s office, and I will spread this for Ukraine. Unconditional Surrender.
Stephanie Miller:
Yeah. This is the President, right? Cut seven.
To your predecessor who is about to launch another campaign. So how do you reassure them if that is the reason for their questioning that the former president will not return. That his political movement which is still very strong, will not take power?
Joe Biden: Well, we just have to demonstrate that he will not take power.
Talking about Trump coming back. Ukraine is going to be concerned about that, right?
Malcolm Nance:
Well, you know, this is why we should also step up bringing as many weapons systems online as possible. Ukrainians we’ve trained are proving themselves as adept on the battlefield. As good as any NATO force that there is. I take a little questioning with whether Ukraine has actually taken 100,000 casualties, if you were to add up all the wounded in every capacity, quite possibly, but we have taken nowhere near the casualties the Russians have.
Malcolm Nance:
We bring 100 zip ties per mission now. So just to give everybody the idea.
Stephanie Miller:
Every time there is a military victory for Ukraine, what did I say you guys? I was like, that was Malcolm Nance behind that.
Malcolm Nance:
Russia is at a what now moment. To do their withdrawing inch by inch but we have learned to be adaptive. Folding their lines, destroying their artillery forces, they cannot withstand. They are going to get kicked out of Ukraine one way or the other.
Stephanie Miller:
Before we go, as it stands here, everything in every one of your books just about happened. You know, once again, we know that Russia tried to interfere again in this election as they did again in 2020. You must take heart in the fact that it didn’t work like that. At least some Americans, thanks to people like you, are a little hipper to them trying to interfere to help Trump and Republicans.

Yeah, I think it’s great. I’m humbled that in the middle of the summer reading season, the number six book book on The New York Times bestseller was a book called They Want To Kill Americans. It should be fluffy light like a David Sedaris book, but Americans are looking up. They’re understanding that there is risk here, and that democracy must be vigorously defended.
This is what I’m saying to you and your listeners. We are just starting. History starts now. This isn’t about oh, we won or we stopped states at all. No.
Stephanie Miller:
And while you’re gone, you get all the Paul Pelosi attack happened, which is just a continuation of January 6, and the violence. So I just have to hope that we see real accountability for January 6. All the way up to Donald Trump. Because I do take heart that there was not a lot of, so far, cries of voter fraud or violence or anything around these midterms. So you know, it proves there also a lot of talk.
Malcolm Nance:
Well, there’s a lot of talk but then they mumbled to themselves, get angry and then start polishing up their weapons and buying more ammo. All I say is this, okay? We cannot even start to think of taking our foot off the gas.
Our biggest problem is we do not push the message as it exists. Defend democracy, the Republicans are crazy. They are hurting this nation. They don’t love America. They want it to be fascist. If we can just say those four or five sentences over and over and over again. It will push down into the mainstream.
The Republicans’ crazy mindset was mainstreamed by the media. Because the Republicans would say nothing other than that. We have to do this, too. Defend our homes, defend our families. To defend the country and our democracy that we love.
Stephanie Miller:
