Malcolm Nance Tells Stephanie Miller About Arrival Of Trumpster Insurgency
Do you want the insight needed to make justice happen? The Republican Party is becoming an armed Trumpster insurgency in the United States. That is the clarion call of Malcolm Nance’s new book. The title of which had to be updated, as revealed in this interview broadcast transcript. I believe the conversation went like this.

Stephanie Miller:
Between the two of you, we have every bit of knowledge in the world. I will do a guess the quote with you, Chris. Guess who just said this week, I just finished a 220,000 word book on how the Republican Party is becoming an armed insurgency in the United States and it’s absolutely terrifying.
Who said that? This guy right here. Yeah, I mean, people keep saying I’m over the top. I keep saying it. They are blowing up the debt ceiling. That it’s economic? I mean, they have become a party of terrorists, the way you’re saying and Malcolm.
Malcolm Nance:
I find it fascinating that the Republican Party, which banks everything on the stock market, and on how the economy is doing, wouldn’t, would ignore Janet Yellen actually saying that this would explode the US economy, and they would lose all of the gains that they had,
Stephanie Miller:
They want that. Because they can blame it on President Joe Biden, that’s where we are, right.
Yeah, but you know that actually comes out to the money of their constituents, and their constituents, or rich white guys on Wall Street. So I’m pretty sure that President Biden and others are are thinking that the pressure from their actual funders is going to stop this thing.
Now I also find it fascinating that suddenly there’s viable talk about using the filibuster, but not for the Voting Rights Act. Which is far, far more important than the debt increase. So, Mitch McConnell knows what he’s doing here and if he has to burn the country to the ground to get his people back into power, then he’s going to do it.
Stephanie Miller:
I forgot the other thing I keep saying. Call them COVID terrorists. They are COVID terrorists.
Malcolm Nance:
Bio-terrorists, yes.
Stephanie Miller:
Well, oh, let me just read it on my list here. Malcolm Nance is the MSNBC counterterrorism expert and author of Plot to Betray America. So what I’m just saying is, he knows a little something something about terrorism. Here’s the thing you were quoting, for instance, that’s just the latest Madison Cawthorn, who was a sitting United States Congressman.

…and you said, another warning. How many times do I have to warn you, They are literally calling for Christian jihad.
Malcolm Nance:
He used the words. I just use the Arabic word for holy war. So they’re calling for jihad, and for Madison Cawthorne who is one of those people who won’t participate in this.
It just goes to show you. That to be an elected US Congress person in the Republican Party, you don’t have to have any smarts. You already see that. You have Bovert. She didn’t even have a high school GED, when she got elected to Congress, and was a convicted criminal. She had actually gotten arrested several times.
Same thing with Marjorie Taylor Green, a Q-anon nutter. Apparently you don’t have to have any smarts whatsoever to be elected to Congress in the Republican Party. This is dangerous. What you are looking at is literally stochastic terrorism. Where people who are carrying it out are becoming the spiritual leaders of this armed political empowerment military insurgency.
That is what I keep warning you about. This is only getting worse. I thought last year that my book on the Coming Trump Insurgency would have to be one or two years out. I had to remove the word Coming from the title of the book, it is not a coming insurgency. it’s here.
Yeah, you are a true Nostradamus for your books. I remember your first book about the Plot to Destroy Democracy and I can remember the subtitle, how Russia tried to. Tried? Then we’re like, tried and did it.
Malcolm Nance:
Yeah and that book is still selling. Plot to Hack America. The problem that we have right now and that’s why I’ve changed this book title from the plot series too. They want to kill Americans. That is what the book is entitled and that’s what they believe. They think that there is going to be a political and paramilitary push, which will involve terrorism.
Stephanie Miller:
Latest guy yesterday Trumper threat at the Supreme Court. Same as the other guy in the pickup truck that lasted for hours there. He wanted to talk to Biden, didn’t think he was the legitimate President. This guy yesterday, talk to us about that. He was outside the Supreme Court a Trumpster right?
Malcolm Nance:
What you’re seeing is Donald Trump’s permission to the world to go out and misbehave. To be as indecent and cruel and as mean spirited as they want to be. It has released that inner mental illness of many people.
Like the guy going to the Supreme Court. Many of these people who go up there. The person three weeks ago who drove up to the Supreme Court with a fake bomb in the truck, who wanted to die. They really think of themselves as martyrs as holy warriors. The worst part is, I’ve written several books on ISIS and Al Qaeda mindset and their ideology.
I’m having a very hard time distinguishing these people from each other. Other than that they wear Bubba hats and they have access to greater quantities of small arms in the United States. This is not going to bode well if we can’t stop this descent of the Republican Party into madness.
Stephanie Miller:
It’s all the same. The man who refused to talk made a statement to the effect of the time for talking is done. He had a domestic violence case in his past as they all seem to. At this point, a glance at his Facebook page revealed several polls indicating he’s a supporter of Trump and a critic of Democrats, including Obama and Clinton.
I mean, here we go on and on. Right, the Facebook hearings, it goes to that this was all over your first book as well. You just said, Facebook is a loaded gun pointed at the heart of democracy. Enough likes and they’ll pull the trigger. It’s all one story, isn’t it?
Malcolm Nance:
It is. To tell you the truth, despite the fact back years ago, when you and I were growing up. Crazy people who would couldn’t enter into the political fray, back when your dad was running for Vice President. They would have to stand on a street corner and hand you out mimeographs of their craziness.
Now with the advent of Facebook in particular, they not only can reach hundreds and hundreds of millions of people. They can gain popularity by other people who have mental defects or who believe in this extremist ideology. Facebook Was Weaponized for Trump
Facebook is a fundamental danger to American democracy. Yes, everyone has a right to free speech, but what you don’t have a right to is using algorithms to spread propaganda. That aims a knife directly into the heart of American democracy.
They need to be regulated like utilities, and they also need to be held accountable for the speech that they allow, for the algorithms allow to fester. Which causes things like an attack on the United States Capitol.
Stephanie Miller:
Senator Markey I believe echoed that. Let’s listen for a second.
Senator Markey:
Here’s my message for Mark Zuckerberg, your time of invading our privacy, promoting toxic content, in preying on children and teens, is over. Congress will be taking action. You can work with us or not work with us, but we will not allow your company to harm our children and our families and our democracy, any longer.
Stephanie Miller:
I would argue they interfered in two elections 2016 and 2020 as much as Russia did. To Trump’s benefit. In both cases.
Malcolm Nance:
It wasn’t just the elections in the United States, these things have been going around for a very long time. Then when you have companies like Cambridge Analytica, that understands how they propagandize. How they monetized and weaponized political greed and hatred and know that this could foster an environment in which people are killed.
Then it comes time to where you’re going to have to make it very simple. That they can be held liable for what happens on their platform. This is where Zuckerberg and the rest have gotten away with this. They make it seem like, oh it’s just the wild and wooly internet. Well you can hold people responsible for the content that goes on there if it’s child pornography or if it’s abusive or something along that lines.
Well, we’re just going to have to make hate speech accountable to the platform, and then suddenly you will see an army of lawyers. Well, they’ll probably descend on K Street to try to lobby in the Capitol, but we need to see that army of lawyers do what Fox News did recently. Which was, tell people you cannot lie about Dominion voting systems and make everyone, apologize.
We need to get Facebook to that point, Mark Zuckerberg is a libertarian, by the way, he doesn’t care about democracy. He only cares about money.
Stephanie Miller:
And let me say, to your point about mimeograph. In my dad’s day, let me just say that they had the advantage of smelling really good. I love fresh mimeographing. I love the smell of fresh mimeograph in the morning. They smell like victory, and then you get purple on your nose. Yeah, okay.
Let’s talk about your Twitter fight with Andrew Yang. Because this is exactly not the time we need your party, which is conveniently named after your new book. You said, Oh, Andrew Yang said why so scornful Malcolm. The world isn’t so black and white, and you said. Please explain to Andrew Yang, why I’m so scornful and trying to save democracy.
Him, not so much. You said the American experiment is under siege, liberal governments are falling globally to fascism. Racism abounds, the world is literally burning. What’s your genius idea? Start the Foreword, Party. A party to peel votes off from the only party trying to save us all.
Stephanie Miller:

I don’t get it. This guy’s ego is so off the charts that he thinks that this is a genius idea. That, like I said, he knows now he is going to his op ed, you know that he wrote on his own website, right. Why I’m leaving the Democratic Party to open to start the forward party at this time knowing that let’s say he removes a fraction of those people he gets the Jill Stein voters. We’ve seen elections fall to that, yes. This man does not fundamentally understand American democracy.
Stephanie Miller:

Of Jill Stein’s right. Andrew Yang is now the independent.
Well, all I can say is this. I have never seen a billionaire get “ratioed.” Is he a billionaire or a millionaire. Yeah, millionaire? Well, you know, if I had $1 for every, every comment that ratioed him, I’d be a millionaire too. This guy comes out and he says, in response to me.
I’m not sure but I think both parties are doing this destruction of democracy, and send it back to the main reason.
Then somebody came up and tweeted immediately. This is why we hate you. This, what-about-ism and I’m not sure. Get out of the political stage! OK. if I had run for President, I probably would have gotten more than one delegate. Yang could barely get one and he had to buy it.
Stephanie Miller:
Exactly, pick a team, play hard. Okay. Also finally can I say the final word on Afghanistan from Malcolm Nance. You said, I know it hurts but it ended when Trump made that secret deal and gave it back to the Taliban.
No amount of American firepower was going to convince the tribes not to deal with the Taliban. That was a cultural victory, not military. It was always going to end this way, always Thank you, Malcolm Nance

My poor friend John Fitz, former Marine was feeling bad about his time in Afghanistan. He said he’d done almost three years. That was in response to it, but, you know, it’s hard for the warriors who come home. While they cant see any advancement from what they’ve done. It’s terrible. The way it ended was always going to end that way.
Now it’s time to see what we can do from the outside. Whether we can support NGOs, support women, support, foreign governments that can can help the Taliban recalibrate themselves. They are an old narco patriarchal totalitarian Islamic society, and no amount of shooting was going to change that.
