Malcolm Nance tells us the Intelligence Community view on Trumpism’s treasonous right wing philosophy with Stephanie Miller

Malcolm Nance:

Here’s the kicker I never get credit for it. I mean, I said this, months and months ago. Many analysts have put out precisely what you just read. And I remember being savaged at the time. Saying that China wasn’t involving itself at this level of of intelligence operation. Because all they had to do was sit back and eat our lunch. And guess what, that’s exactly what they did.

Stephanie Miller:

I mean, I know it isn’t going to make any difference, but this was Donald Trump’s administration. This was Donald Trump’s intelligence community, they obviously squelched it so that it didn’t come out while he was still in office. But we knew this to be true, and it just confirms everything about 2016. The same names . They’ve upped the bounty for Konstantin Kilimnik, it’s the same characters involved trying to interfere, to help Trump in 2020. What do they say to that? The Ron Johnson’s of the world. Are they going to be asked? Is Trump going to be asked? I mean, how do you keep saying, fake news, witch hunt? It’s your intelligence community.

Malcolm Nance:

You have to understand. They don’t believe their intelligence community, as far as they’re concerned, that’s part of the deep state, anything which is negative towards Donald Trump and bends towards reality is a factor that they completely discount and ignore. At the end of the day, they will be attacking US intelligence -all of it. Next what they’ll do is they’ll glom on to that one little dissenting voice that said China may have been working against Donald Trump. Well, China doesn’t have to work against Donald Trump. Donald Trump works for China, his patents, and the money that he thought that he was glomming off of them. And like dismantling US trade agreements, and essentially turning over the entire global soybean market to adversaries and other competitors. Who wouldn’t sell soybeans to China cheaper. We have been doing China favors, under the Trump administration, forever.

Stephanie Miller:

He’s the one that said what a great job they’re doing on COVID, and how transparent they’re being about it. Right?

Malcolm Nance:

Yes the same guy turns on a dime, and goes completely back and suddenly starts proclaiming that Joe Biden is working for the Chinese Communist Party, I swear to God, for the love of God. I get up at three in the morning and I read these crazy Parler feeds and Gab threads, and Twitter threads, and forums. All they talk about now is how the liberals are owned by the Chinese Communist Party. So we’ve been spun on a dime. First being anti Muslim loving terrorists, and then when Trump said China did it, China’s working with Biden. Now that’s all they believe. So there’s nothing US intelligence is going to put out, that is going to even impact these people. Funny story, I was doing Michael Cohen, you know, Donald Trump’s lawyer’s podcast yesterday, and he said. What is it with Ron Johnson. What is he, is he malicious, or is he just, you know, one of these people who is one of the believers. And I said no, I equate him to Mel Brooks. The character of Lepetomane played in in Blazing Saddles. The Governor Lepetomane says, O My God, if we are discovered, we’re all going to lose our phony baloney jobs! That’s Ron Johnson. All right, Solidad O’Brian said he was educated. Very well versed and then he met Trump and became an instant toady, who is afraid he’s going to lose this phony baloney job.

Stephanie Miller:

Yeah I heard some of that said. That he’s not a dumb guy. You’re like, oh I see. He’s just being deliberately racist to get Trump’s base on his side. Then pretend that he’s shocked that people would say, his true feelings. So, Malcolm, obviously you know, we’ve been talking about this. The anti China rhetoric, you know, of course I draw a straight line to the attack that resulted in eight dead yesterday in Atlanta. I understand you know facts, evidence, whatever, but you’re like, it doesn’t take a genius to go he’s been, you know, calling it a China virus, or whatever, we suddenly have 150% rise in Asian attacks. Leading directly to yesterday’s tragedy. It’s just the new version of the kind of hatred and racism that Donald Trump espoused yesterday.

Malcolm Nance:

Absolutely right. You know I was talking to Brian Williams last night. When I was not laughing at Senator Claire McCaskill comment of what he is. She called them treasonous trader clowns, which I thought should have been hashtag of the year. I drew a straight line and I said. You know, we can draw a straight line from this intelligence report to that attack, Atlanta. What we have here is pure raw nativism, in the United States. It’s not just xenophobia, it’s racist. Interestingly enough, in my new book on right wing extremism. I just happened to be writing about anti Chinese racism of the 1850s that went went as far as the 1880s. They had mass murders of Chinese. The reason I mentioned it, a little earlier. About how conservatives in the Trump supporters are referring to liberals as members of the Chinese Communist Party. It’s because that’s in the middle of their fever dream they are spouting. They are calling Joe Biden spelled Xiden, as if he was owned by president Xi, They literally turned the narratives that we have proven, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, on its head. By claiming that progressives and liberals are trying to create a Chinese communist world, to the point where they believe. I’m not joking. There are 100,000 Chinese soldiers hidden somewhere in Canada, waiting to cross the border. I’m not joking.

There are many people out there that are saying that. That believe that in crazy right wing world. So it’s not a far stretch for this guy, who may have been an In-cel. Who’s only sexual contact, or only contact with women, may have been involved in one of these massage parlors. Then went on a misogynist anti Asian killing spree. Because of a mental defect that has been put there, and supported by Donald Trump. I’m going to be the first to say this though. We don’t know that. But, I know this. There are themes that are out there in the right wing world about rescuing people from human trafficking. So if this individual had been really just targeting anti Asian. There were many Asian grocery stores and community centers, between all of those parlours. So, what we say is terrorism is the tactic. The target is the tactic. This guy drove, to use firearms, specifically to kill. As we can see now six out of eight victims are Asian women.

We’re gonna see the briefing here. It’s happening right now. Even as we speak, so get your ears on it, Travis. Let’s get the victim count but the point is. Is that he’ll go to those places. Unless you’re specifically targeting individuals, and he went from one way or another, to another. So either the fact that they were massage parlors, or spas, were upsetting him, or the demographic of the individuals within them. But the fact that he didn’t go to nail salons, and then he didn’t go to Asian groceries, is telling me that there was something personal, in his worldview, about his targeting those women. Yeah, Right I mean generally in In-cel, involuntary celibate world.

Stephanie Miller:

I was just gonna say Malcolm’s almost without fail right in all of these incidents, there is misogyny involved somehow in their background. Domestic violence, but you’re right, it is not just anti Asian, but it is something, weirdly to do probably with sex and in-cel and, yeah, go ahead,

Malcolm Nance:

You know, who I harkened back to. Steve Bannon had created this. He is the guy that weaponized the gamers, way back when GamerGate was a thing. In covert sort of alt-right. This entire cabal of young white men, believing in what would eventually become alt-right ideology. Neo Nazism hardcore conservatism, conservative rock. All that stuff. And many of these young in-cels who honor and worship, each other, which is a little weird, take out their violence on women. Whether it was the Yoga Pro, I think was in Florida or mass murdering people in synagogues and mosques.

Stephanie Miller:

Malcolm, real quick, the suspect in the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville. Acted alone or was driven by paranoia. The FBI says it was just influencing. I wanted to know what you meant. You said, this finally worded statement avoids actually explaining what drove his paranoia So it can legally not be called a terrorist attack. Can you explain thay?

Malcolm Nance:

Yeah, they went really far out of their way, not to state that he had an ideology behind what he did. So what they said was he was driven by paranoia, conspiracy theories, and unsubstantiated thoughts, which is an ideology. I mean, it could have been what went on but, they do not want to say, Because none of those businesses that were devastated get insurance if it’s a terrorist attack. And I mean, At least have the nerve to come out and say that, right. Tell us about it, but we need to know. We need to know. Was he a believer in lizard people and the 5G conspiracy theory. Because there may be another suicide bomber out there. So offer them damage relief through the government, but it was a very finely worded statement, which almost absolved him.

Stephanie Miller:

I mean, being branded a terrorist, we are really getting to a crisis point with some intersection of weird, right wing right violence. Be it of white supremacist but also just conspiracy theorists that just believe in increasingly amount of crazy things. That they’re starting to act out violently against.

Malcolm Nance:

It’s become the base ideology of the Republican Party now. The Q-anon is now that. They’re starting to back away from using the phrase Q-anon. All of their fundamental beliefs are Q-anon beliefs. Liberals are evil. They must be punished, done away with, eliminated from the public sphere. All of these things, it’s terrible, but they’re now hiding from that since the opprobrium that Q-anon is has garnered in recently.

Stephanie Miller:

Before we go real quick Malcolm, I’m glad you spoke out for Reality Winner. You just tweeted, Reality Winner has served more time in prison than the actually treasonous Snowden. Also note Flynn, Papadopoulos, Stone and Manafort. She wasn’t sentenced to death by COVID. Let the kid go home. Malcolm, for people that don’t know all the details. Can you explain what Reality Winner did and the difference in your mind between her and Snowden, and why you believe what you believe.

Malcolm Nance:

Early on I wasn’t a supporter of Reality Winner and what she did. Because I’ve held the top secret SCI clearance. She was a Persian cryptologic linguist, I was an Arabic cryptologic linguist. I went to the exact school she went to, I worked in the exact site she worked in, she was in the Air Force. I was in the Navy, I worked joint operations for the Air Force at the exact place she was working at, before she went out and became a contractor. She thought she was doing something for America by stealing that one classified document, and her mistake was giving it to the intercept. They didn’t protect her. They got quickly tracked back to her. You know what?

You have to be punished for that. I mean, I’m sorry I can’t have people stealing classified information, but you know, I became convinced when I was on air on MSNBC, with her and her mother. Her mother made it clear that this was humanitarian. She’s kept in a prison where they have a very large COVID outbreak and they let go other people. I was quite surprised yesterday, Michael Cohen, without any prompting from me, said she should be released on humanitarian grounds. She’s done 2 going on 3 out of 5 years of her prison sentence. If they can let Chelsea Manning out, Chelsea Manning gave up a million documents, she gave up one. Get the kid out of there, she was an idiot. She will never do this again. She’s suffered enough. Right, it’s shown everybody in the classified world not mishandle classified again, but it’s not a death sentence.

Stephanie Miller:

Well Malcolm, just I’m saying in the wake of the DNI report, that’s what she was learning, the same thing. It’s in there, Russia.

Malcolm Nance:

Right, yes, but she went about it the wrong way. I’m a hardcore Navy Chief, I will not tolerate anyone that’s steals classified and exposes it. If she had taken that document to the AIG she would have put it into the system, and they could have handled it at some level. You know her problem was, she thought she was doing like a short version of Snowden and she had the document that would break it all wide open. I had written about this exact same thing, and that didn’t break it open. I mean, people were calling us all conspiracy theorists. So, this is where their misguided beliefs. That people like Glenn Greenwald are going to help you, they’re not, they will have your ass sent to prison.
