Watch and believe your own eyes. After 100 years electric motor and battery technology for bicycling has arrived. The concept of the E-bike has jumped off the old parchment and hit the streets running. Now electric-kinetic hybrid bicycles are showing up everywhere.
E-bike motors can pedal for you controlled by hand or foot. Running 20 miles at 20 MPH is a common range, but newer models have range boosting advancements. With extra batteries and a charger you are good to go for hours. And if the batteries all run low, (Never run a battery all the way down) you still have an excellently comfortable bicycle to ride home. Many E-Bike designs have a fold in the middle that makes it fit in a trunk or back seat.
Now they all have hybrid Power Assist mode to save battery life as you dial in your desired level of effort.
There is also technology to charge the battery when braking, like down a long hill.
Take a look at this video and you will have to admit that this isn’t the old steam era century mechanics anymore. Robust research has provided new frame styles and lightweight materials. Batteries are packaging more Amp/Hours into smaller spaces. Additional thought went into the comfort features of these bicycles.
