Tom is uniquely suited to take on the challenges our country and planet face with the urgency they deserve. He has the business background to go toe to toe with Donald Trump. And he stood up to Trump, building a national grassroots movement that grew to over 8 million people like you calling for his impeachment.
Now, he is running to fix our broken political system, and return power to the hands of the American people. Tom is the only candidate who will declare the climate crisis a national emergency on day one of his presidency. He is also the first to release a national TV ad calling out Trump for what he is: a fraud and a failure.

At this point, there isn’t time for vague plans and promises about climate change. Addressing the climate crisis requires a thorough vision that accounts for environmental justice, and can’t be condensed into a pithy retort or catchy one-liner.
The Democratic Party must acknowledge the climate crisis with its own debate. The candidates’ plans need to be challenged before the American people, and examined carefully. I’m calling on the DNC to take this fight more seriously, and host a separate climate debate — will you join me?
The climate crisis motivated me to political activism nearly 10 years ago, and it’s one of the main reasons I decided to run. Every decision we make for the future of our country — for our planet — relies on how we address this serious issue.

This morning, protestors demanding climate action rallied outside the hotel in San Francisco where the Democratic National Committee voted on whether they would hold a much-needed climate debate. The DNC voted against it.
This issue must be the top priority of the Democratic Party, and every candidate should make fighting climate change the central issue of their campaign. A climate debate would put environmental justice front and center — and show voters where each candidate really stands.

Tom took the stage at the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting to hold the DNC and our country to a higher standard. He made a strong call for our party to stop accepting money from corporations.
How can we expect to hold Washington to a higher standard if we can’t hold ourselves to it first? We need to draw a bright line between us and the Republicans. They are corrupt. We are not. If Tom is elected president, he will make sure the DNC does not accept a dime from any corporation.
I’m not asking for your vote right now — I’m asking for the chance to earn it.
I want to show you what kind of leader I’ll be. I want to talk about my plans for this country and challenge what’s already been said. But to do that, I need to be on the debate stage.

The Democratic National Committee has laid out their requirements to participate in the September presidential primary debate in Houston, Texas:
- Reach at least 2% support in four qualifying polls that are publicly released.
- Receive donations from at least 130,000 individual donors by August 28, with a minimum of 200 unique donors per state in at least 20 states.
Tom launched his campaign less than a month ago, and he’s already surging in the polls. A new Morning Consult poll of early primary voters shows Tom at 6%, ahead of Pete Buttigieg and within just 2 points of Kamala Harris.

There’s nothing like a face-to-face
It’s time to have a quick chat about impeachment — with YOUR representative. And because your member of Congress is now home for recess, you can do that in the most effective way possible: face-to-face. It’s pretty simple. Many members of Congress host town halls to hear concerns from their constituents — that means you! And we’ve helped launch a new website that will make it easy.
Find out if your representative is hosting a town hall near you. Show up to let them know that they need to support an impeachment inquiry now.
Has your representative already confirmed supporting impeachment? Great! Thank them in person. If they haven’t yet, let them know that they need to — now.
Don’t see an event that your representative is hosting? That’s ok. You can create one and visit with them in their district office. It’s part of their job to listen — and believe it or not, they do! We’re on the verge of an impeachment inquiry, and we can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you’ve done. Attend a town hall event in your district and help make impeachment a reality.

I just got off the stage at the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting, where I talked about the need for a higher standard and our winning path.
If we want to beat Trump and clean out the corruption in Washington, it’s going to take more than just one candidate with a vision. To end the corporate control of our democracy, everyone must reject any corporate donation, no matter how big.
